I was intrigued by the movement of sky, trees, and sand dunes. The grays of this scene were soft and cool and the trees became a foil for the prevailing winds and the interesting shapes sculpted by the elements. I am honored to have this painting accepted into the 110 Annual Gold Medal Exhibition this July 2021 at the Hilbert Museum of California Art in Orange, CA.
